Morning Preparations
Always a favourite part of any wedding day - the buzz of getting ready! Ryan&Rachel booked into the Bullit Hotel Belfast for the night before the wedding. They woke up to a glorious bright and sunny day. They wanted a super chill vibe for morning and that's exactly what they did!
First Look
A first look is one of those marmite things - we are on the marmite lover side! Getting to see each other before the day starts to roll is a really sweet moment. Whether it's to settle nerves by having a cuddle before - or just wanting to see each other and being able to speak before kicking straight into vows - it's always a perfect moment. Hollywood has played a part in glamourising that moment when a couple see each other for the first time coming down the aisle. The truth of it is - it happens so quickly and you wham bam thank you man straight into the ceremony and you barely have a chance to say hello. That's why we highly recommend having that moment in private. We can attest that it doesnt take away from the moment down the aisle either - that is still a really special moment with friends and family present.
City Hall Ceremony
A super short stroll from the Bullit to the City Hall in the sunshine made for some really gorgeous candid snaps of Ryan and his crew. These are the things that give opportunity for really gorgeous documentary style photography. It's obviously not possible for everyone to walk to their ceremony venue - weather or distance being an issue - but if you do have the luxury of being super close to the ceremony venue - it could be something to consider. Rachel hopped in a taxi round to the City Hall and sneaked in the secret entrance around the back. The pair met before walking down the aisle together - the sweetest thing - we love this. Vows were short and sweet so they could prioritise spending time with friends and family.
City Walks
This is without doubt one of the best ways to get candid documentary shots on your wedding day. It's also super fun walking through the city all dressed up - the public love it and there are always lots of cheers and smiles!
